Unfortunately there are no pictures of the rather messy construction of the &#8216;hillside&#8217;. In keeping with the recycled nature of this layout it was built using the rather messy &#8216;J cloth&#8217;, PVA glue method with bits of polystyrene which was using in the original Burton Crumpnold layout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Next was the track ballasting.  <\/strong><br>I found the ballasting process much harder in N the &#8216;OO&#8217;. <br>The ballast is much finer so even with care it was easy to foul up the points.<br><br>Everything has been tested and all seems to be OK, just a bit more cleaning to do to improve the &#8216;look&#8217; of the track bed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"434\" class=\"wp-image-775\" style=\"width: 650px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.burtoncrumpnold.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/BallastedStation.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.burtoncrumpnold.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/BallastedStation.jpg 1632w, https:\/\/www.burtoncrumpnold.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/BallastedStation-600x401.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.burtoncrumpnold.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/BallastedStation-1024x684.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.burtoncrumpnold.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/BallastedStation-768x513.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.burtoncrumpnold.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/BallastedStation-1536x1026.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The next stage is to work out the details of roads and &#8216;the countryside&#8217;. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So here is the layout with all the current buildings.
